He has assistants who work on a lot of the talking pages which is why they often use tracing and a lot of the designs look feminized. They're anime artists and likely only know how to do moe girls and it doesn't fit the more realistic art styles. Miura does the big 2 page spreads and special scenes though and those still look nice. Only that for literal years the story has been this meandering wandering bullshit nonsense without much direction. Like my god get on with it!

I wish we lived in a world where you could express your regrets and failures and offer a genuine desire to change yourself for the better, but that's not what they're interested in regardless of what they say. Social justice at that extreme (IE the twitter mob extreme) isn't about justice, it's about revenge.

Do you know Chinese? Looking it up sent me down a rabbit hole of Chinese websites. Luckily I actually do know a little bit and doing some digging leads me to believe it may be from a college textbook (pages constantly were sourced back to a college-looking page on a website called "huisg . com" (minus spaces) Also think I may have found the cover. A while ago, I remember requesting artbooks by Q Hayashida of Dorohedoro fame. She published an artbook in 2019 to commemorate the show's announcement and premiere, but has since put out an even bigger artbook (340 pages) full of paintings and illustration work earlier this year.

I don't have a specifc book that matches that guy's style but you can dig in this page for any videos that relate to similiar topics. Use google translate to navigate! I think for the first link there is a very interesting and helpful design lecture under the mgld playlist it's a couple of pages across. The other has more familiar gumroads and etc.

As for reference packs I've got a huge 15,000 image pack but not many are overweight not sure if that will help with Dwarves. I have Morpho's Fat and Skin folds if you are interested I can scan it. You doing Even's DTIYS? If not, he announced one yesterday with dwarves.

nearly all of the english language loomis books have garbage scans with bad cropping, gutter shadow, etc so no I don't think so

Does anyone know who/when scanned the original two books? I think it's one of those books that popped on Japanese manga sites a few years ago with no explanation where it came from. if we canf ind wehre, there might be more. It's likely chianmen on chinese forums.

(Vilppu) Animal Drawing 131 pges

(Vilppu) Figure Drawing - Demonstrations Step by Step 89pgs, has an inro page, and all drawings seem to be complete

(Vilppu) Sketching on Location Manual - 108pgs but the contents page says it should be 145pgs. I went over it one by one and there are indeed missing on the pdf, but maybe it were blank pages or title pages, cause they all seem to be from the ending of the chapters.

(Vilppu) The Vilppu Drawing Manual - 173pgs, has an intro and conclusion page.
