take breaks and make time for it just as you do art. you also get things out of living regular life outside of the grind which fuel your creative endeavors. dont just live life hunched over anon

your family are merely stepping stones, distractions from your journey to reach the top. cut all contact with them as soon as possible to optimize your productivity.

If your family gives a shit about your happiness, then they’ll understand if you turn some events down. Of course go to birthdays for immediate family/holiday celebrations and mail presents for extended family birthdays if it’ll make you feel better.

I don't. I spend so much time trying to reach a standard that perpetually eludes me just to unintentionally push people away.

My desire to reach a level of skill that permits me to do what makes me happy is arguably contributing to my sadness.

Nothing can be done about it.

Half my family are failure losers who I do not talk to under any circumstances. The other side are all workaholics that understand the pleasure in hard work and don't expect much of me time wise.

How much happier will art make you over a family that loves you? Real Question

I moved out of my parents house 3 years ago, and moved to a different city hundreds of miles away about a year ago. The last time I saw my family was during Christmas.

>> No.4700079

my family used to *demand* i do everything they say or else im "cut off" and eventually i just said fuck it and stopped caring which led to the inevitable falling out and now im much happier.
