A thread died for this. Imagine making a whole another thread for your seethe.
Why couldn't this just be continued this in the old thread? Did you want to erase the previous conversation to muddle up the context?
You were originally saying
>Believe it or not, the best artists draw as a hobby.
When you were told that the Sistine chapel was painted for money, you got mad.

>>4696139
Yeah, and it would've looked even better if it was made for free.
My point still stands.

>> No.4696155

>yeah the sistine chapel could've been better
Listen to yourself. You are doubling down. Weren't you supposed to respect the old masters?
Btw, nowhere in the original conversation was furry porn mentioned. You were simply saying that artists who draw as a hobby and spend their days working in an unrelated profession are better than artists who are trying to make a living off their art. That's a much broader category than just furry porn.

>Weren't you supposed to respect the old masters?
I respect them, but even more so do I respect skilled people who don't sell their art, for their ideas aren't inhibited by the buyer's preferences.
>Btw, nowhere in the original conversation was furry porn mentioned.
That's why I made a separate thread, dumbass.

That's right, good job quoting me.
Though I still believe that the most powerful and sincere statements are expressed through art when there is no money involved, and you are yet to provide a single counter-argument to that.

Commercial digital art is like pop music, tasteless bland and reduced.

Stupid fucking faggot, you are so insincere I'll rephrase your thoughts for you. You do not think that "true art is made for passion", you simply think art isn't worth any money. You put so much importance on money that you think artists are greedy if they want to make a living for their passion. You are in FACT legitimating the furry porn artists who draw shitting dick nipples for money. By negating the right of the artist to being paid, you are actually putting the mercenary on a pedestal.
You are a fucking massive brainlet.

I'm not bitching about porn. I'm bitching about people who make porn and think too highly of themselves.
And not just porn. Pic related is what kills the modernist.

Do you not understand that the banana on a tape and the furry porn are the direct result of people trivializing the importance of culture? Art isn't worth shit, it stopped being worth anything in the last century, so to sell art you have to sell non-art, you are not selling art, you are selling a drawn product, pornography. Or you are selling a political/consumerist badge, like the banana or the can of soup. You understand?

How much of what you consider "art" have you given money to in the last money?

>> No.4696242

>>4696235
*last month
It's not because people sell too much art that art has become worthless, it happened because people give it for granted and have no respect for the work that people put in it. 99% of the consumers don't give a fuck about "art" since we're in a society that trivializes anything but making money, we don't have any more values or ethics or beliefs, so our narratives reflect that with entropy, and culture is dying as a result.

Actually hilarious.
I don't spend money on art or "art products" because I can make my own if I need to.
>>4696242
>No, you don't understand, people should pay MORE for it!
Alright, Schlomo. I guess we should just crank up those prices for Harry Potter books, Star Wars movies and spotify albums, that ought to enlighten people.
