What do you do when none of your drawings turn out right?

I'm on like drawing number 5 today they all look bad. I tried just doing a study or copy since the object is already good, but mine turned out far short of it. What do I do?

Stick with one and draw it even if it turns out bad.
Then look at it and ask yourself what you dont like and for your next drawing you try to improve those things.

Thanks for the chuckle mate

That's what's discouraging, it seems like one drawing after another turns out badly despite vowing the next one will be better.

I don't know if I can handle criticism right now because it already sucks I would feel pretty bad to have people say it does suck because I know it sucks. I'm pretty sure I know what the problems are but it's like I lack the ability to fix it.

If you know it sucks then why do you care if other people say what you already believe ?

My art sucks too, and I don't care if someone says so. I doubt there's anyone out there who thinks less of my my art than me, or could say something about it worse than what I already think about it. And that's okay, because I know as long as I don't give up and keep at it that one day it won't suck.

If you rely on the opinions of others you'll NGMI. Especially on an anonymous art critique board.

I post it under "scraps" on my deviantart and save the original file to a folder called "trash". I then change the concept a bit because I assume it's fundamentally flawed, and redraw till it's OK.

Your art is pretty good Desu, you're shying away from fingers and toes tho. Try doing more imaginative stuff, abstractions.

It's still a feedback. I save it into a Progress folder with a Date, may help me later.

i masturbate, then realize too late it just saps my brain juice so no drawing again for two days

>why do I care if others think it sucks too
I hoped that maybe others can find something redeeming in my work even when I don't think so
>caring about the opinion of others
I have this belief that it is a gauge of my progress. If I shut my ears to all feedback I'll be complacent.

If nothing is going well today, just do some comfort zone drawings or a type of study that you find easy.

keep drawing until you come out the other side. it happens.

So what do you do if you have NO comfort zone?

>> No.4681316

>>4681274
I know most /beg/s don't have a comfort zone, which is why I added "a type of study that you find easy". For example you could make a copy of some drawing you like, to study its linework and designs, and maybe to get some grasp on the form understanding of the original artist. From my personal experience making copies of other people's drawings is the easiest form of study, but of course not everyone is the same. You know best what you find easy.

You know I kinda feel ya. I sometimes refrain from posting art for criticism because not only I am lazy, but I just can't trust these places to give proper advice.

i usually take a break and come back to it later, once you look at your work with fresh eyes itll be a lot easier to diagnose whats wrong with it and fix it. if you do that and still really hate what you have down then just save it/store it somewhere and start another drawing.
