Where exactly is the vagina located on the pelvis? Any books that explain this?

Its been bugging me for a while since none of the artistic anatomy books explain how to draw genitalia. The only things ive found are 3d renders but they're not much help since they only visualize the surface forms.

I know it's beyond meme to say 'have sex", but honestly...have sex. The female organs are pretty easy to understand in placement and how they work if you spend some quality time with them.

This is one of those "if you wanna draw mountain climbing accurately, go climb a mountain" moments. Photos will only get you so far.

And, just look for a standard cross section, they show the vagina in relation to the public bone and pelvis in general. The pelvis for a woman is like a basket, or funnel. The vaginal opening is at the bottom, and the vagina/uterus and bladder rest inside of it. I mean, the picture you posted shows the mound, so it's not hard to picture where things line up.

what helped me the most was getting a good grasp at drawing the rib cage and pelvis. If you draw them correctly the midsection kinda becomes straight forward to draw.

Other then that really try to analyze the forms, try to sculpt them in your head. Look at photographs, 3d models and also yourself.

Trust me that most of this is just intuition. Draw a ton from reference then try again from imagination, after a while the information just sticks in your brain.
