Nope. Might be because the eyelids have zero shadow while above them is heavy shadow. Might also be the irises being a little off kilter from each other as well as they're kind of looking off into nothingness and are a little soulless feeling? Like doll eyes too much. I feel like those shadows on the nose are way too sharp too but that might be a block in thing. I just think it's affecting how I'm seeing this right now.

You asked if I was doing this for a project, and the answer is yes. I have an entire story I want to do with my mage girls and have things somewhat fleshed out, at least the important plot events (need to think more about the smaller day to day/minor chapters). Since I'm redoing everyone in a newer style, my goal is to get them all restylized first and then start proper storyboarding for the comic.

You could give ersasable colored pencils a try and sketch different parts of the image in different colors. Color Eno are mechanical pencils, Col-Erase regular.

If you're gonna outline shadow shapes with linework then you need to actually color according to those, or else it'll look like you just have a bunch of random lines everywhere.
Either that, or just drop the weird shadow outlines altogether - that would leave you free to render your piece however you want.

There is nothing wrong with taking time at your level. It means you are thinking more about things. If you try to draw fast early on you will just rush over the same mistakes and become complacent. Just draw what you want to draw, your drawings will naturally become more interesting the better you get. Also nobody is stopping you from posting your drawings.

The reason I need to go faster is that I really need to start doing more commissions. I am disabled and can't work a normal job and need to be my own boss right now to make money. I need to be able to finish pictures in 2.5/3 hours and push them out to survive. If I have super awesome anatomy every time it adds like another half hour and I didn't want to cut into my speed of being able to finish things... If it is really that bad I will take more time in the sketch phase though. I just really need to be able to do these quicker.
Also before you say this is not a good enough style for commissions I have been getting some, I just wanted more speed.

It’s not that bad. Maybe bring her left foot out more to solidify the angle of the pose? Make it stick out to the side as much as her lower body does from her upper body and it should look a lot more natural. Or you can do the opposite and bring her upper body inwards to the right or up a bit, whichever looks nicer, but then you have to sacrifice ass visibility.

To be honest I think you went too far with the skin shading, I understand the type of style you're going for but the skin looks dirty and too defined so it looks off. I think especially with anime faces, the simpler you can make the shading and get the same vibe your going for across the better.

I like your stuff, but I think the proportions could be better. The head is too small compared to the body in my opinion. It would work fine if you weren't drawing an anime face, but if you want to go that route then you'll need to make the head bigger. I'd also make the shoulders a bit more narrow.

Since the face is stylized it looks odd to have such a realistic/thick neck. Eyes are also very close together - I understand that it's hard to do big eyes on a more semi-realistic face since you'll always intrude on another facial feature, but eyes close together makes characters look less cute, so that goes against the point of making them big in the first place. Ideally, you want to have a space one eye wide between the eyes. Shading around the eyes is very believable though, I can tell you put effort into this piece.

Aside from that, you're really good and I think you could be doing children's book illustrations already. Go look for some work! If you don't know anything about pricing and contracts I strongly suggest picking up the most recent graphic artists guild book of pricing and ethical guidelines. It tells you how to price for the scope of the work and gives you example contracts. You will need contracts, don't work with anyone who won't sign one with you. It's to protect you and the person you're working with as well as sign over publishing rights to the illustrations.

Also, children's book authors can be kind of uh, eccentric people, so be prepared.

I really like the rectangular highlights in the eyes. Her pose is very stiff and unnatural though, mainly the legs. Look at some photos of people standing and how their legs and feet are oriented and you should be able to draw them in a more natural position. Current version looks like you just drew them both pointing in the same direction to avoid foreshortening on the feet.

Since you have promise I'll explain that the left should is a bit off. The clavicle attaches directly above the humerous and in the center of the shoulder. Yours looks like it connects to the back. The should also looks warped in some respect to its positioning. Its pretty solid, I remember when I was at where you are right now so I don't want to discourage you, I just want you to go look at some pictures of women sitting like that and maybe lay them over your drawing at 50% opacity or so to kinda get a better idea. The picture is worth a thousand words so thinking about this with images is more impactful.
