It's been decades and there's still hasn't emerged a better method than Loomis. Jack Hamm comes close, maybe? If his books aren't enough, try the Proko tutorials. I don't want do desincourage you, but even mediocre people are able to copy photos decently with the Loomis method, you can see people who never used a pencil before do it in 3 months. Probably you didn't grasp the concepts that are being teached, exactly what are you having trouble with? Anatomy? Shading? Proportions? Drawing the features?

proko has a good tutorial on breaking the nose down in to minor planes. when you memorize that, the nose's shape becomes a lot more obvious. for instance, things that look random on the nose aren't actually random at all, but determined by the shape of the cartilage underneath. im beg so i can't help you with the eyes - im trying to figure those out as well, but the shape of the socket and how it dips inwards towards the bridge always gets me

Yes, but they're also very long. It's 90 hours of him doing real-time demonstrations for every tiny concept. I sat through 15/20 lessons and while they helped me a lot, he really overdoes it at times with repeating himself.
Watch it if you want to have your hand held all the way through learning perspective. I'd personally recommend doing a shorter course (Vandruff, etc) and using Olson as additional material if you need more examples of a concept.

Anon you wouldn't download a car...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmZm8vNHBSU

The music industry still has a bunch of companies using tech that tracks people thru torrents, that is why MEGA is generally safer because the lazy fucks find it easier to track torrent users, some ISPs monitor your service for torrent activity and will warn you but will not tell the rights holders for obvious reasons. At least in the US.

The problem is not the torrent site. The problem is that I need either a seedbox to share it over torrents or a MEGA account that's larger than 2tb to share it. Both of which are paid and I can't pay for them at the moment.

All torrent sites will impose the same limitation to me that's why I'd need the seedbox. And Free MEGA accounts also limit upload speed so it would actually take much more then a year to upload like that.

Beginners could jump straight to Vilppu, but you'll be pissed off at how hard it is and how advanced the concepts he's explaining are. You'd have to re-watch each video 10 times probably- that's what I did. Steve Huston simplifies everything really well, but maybe even treats things too simply and not as comprehensively as Vilppu. I started with Steve Huston and stuck with him for several years before understanding Vilppu, but do whatever the hell you want. They're both fine.

I gave it a shot earlier this year and got to the measuring portion. He really does explain things well and his homework assignments make you put in some work. It's actually the equivalent to a college drawing 1 class, which is something I did at the same time.

However if I could go back while wishing it was available in my teen years I would pick vitruvian studio basic drawing over his course because he sits down and records the entire process as if you're with him. Not only that but the supplies for this course can be bought on their site. The EXACT supplies used in the videos, not the vague pencil Brent is using.

Whichever you go with you'll learn a lot.

AFAIK there's only one application that can get the videos from Schoolism, but I'm not going to post that on the open so that they can block it too.
Speak with me here ( https://discord.gg/ANNB5d ) and I will send you the application.

I have basic knowledge of anatomy (studied from Manga Materials) and was wondering if Vilppu's vids would add anything. Are his videos for complete begs or would they make good knowledge to complement what I already know? Are they focused on anatomy or the process itself of figure drawing?
