Youtube tutorials or if youre good at learning go through the tools individually and play with them and look them up. In my experience 90% of photoshop stuff goes untouched. If you can get ahold of an artist you likes psds its cool to go through and understand how they manage layers

I like the design and pose but I feel like you put to many lines into folds, it makes them look dirty, and face is pretty much flat. As in the head has the curvature but the features are just plastered on top of it.

You could probably deal with lines in the folds by colouring them like you did on the body.

How the fuck do I design male characters without them looking really derivitive? Even male "runway" fashion is just the same old shirt,pants, jacket stuff. But women have jumpers, shorts, pants, dresses, tube tops, jackets, bizarre cloaks and robes, bows, ribbons, three hundred types of skirts and just about anything else you can come up with. I don't wanna draw some bland nigger in either urban streetwear or dark pants and a white shirt with maybe a jacket.

Probably too long of an answer but...

I use the camera on the back of the iPad. My lighting is also shit. I actually hang the picture vertically with magnets. My desk light is at the top of the drawing so every time i get a warm to cool gradient down the drawing which is impossible to white balance. If i place it flat on the desk, I cast a shadow on the drawing.

I’ve been meaning to make a light box for myself, just too lazy. My scanner is the same resolution as the iPad camera, but the pink / reds get washed out. Pic related would be all white.

I tweak the highlights / shadows / brilliance in the native Photos app, but for final color drawings I use procreate for adjusting the curves. I clip the highlights in the histogram to get the paper to be as close to white as possible.

Snapseed is also good for adjusting batches of photos.

also, samefag that got the 777 post, I was recently surprised to see in your an old post of yours maybe on tumblr or something that you used to fuck w stylefiles, I've got the A and B fullsets (96 markers) I don't know whether copics are really worth investing in though as a pour fag, I have bought the odd promarker or copic for a lighter tone, one of the main things that's bugged me about the stylefiles is getting a lighter shade on a lot of things seems to involve bleeding into mixer and going from there.
