First of all, it's not one guy. He has other people helping him with animation.

Second, he deliberately killed another game(Breeding Season) so he could steal all the money for himself, when he was already getting a 50% cut.

Third, that wasn't the first game he killed. he also worked on Broquest, and was reportedly the cause of a great deal of drama and the eventual downfall of that project as well.

i can't say much for broquest, but while what he did was pretty scummy it sure is a way to get back at your boss and stopping him from raking in patreon money for a dead in the water game.
not sure if he ever used the breeding season assets for cloud meadow, they've long been overhauled by now since i remember breeding seasons animations being pretty terrible

the game is dry as fuck as far as i've played it, i despise that the main artist is constantly overhauling things but at least they're not shitty asset flips and there is a great deal of improvement to the level design, though i miss some of the older versions aesthetic as he seems to be moving towards more automated brushes

desu i like how it looks but if feel that pixel art graphics are greatly delaying its release. Anyone who tried pixel art knows that its a time consuming black hole and truth to be told melody of the past. Its 75% or 80% i dont see this being completed in this year. Many people her on /ic are biased toward coomer art and treat it like some second ir third category product. Not everyone wants to be concept/cover artist or illustrator. Coomer artists always sustain themselves because market is really big for coom.

Pick up gamemaker and learn some basic ass animation (and I mean basic ass) and get to work on a small scale porn game! Then do monthly releases on patreon adding tiny updates and milk it for years! It's more fun of you care about the game you're making of course!
