I think his b/w stuff gets overlooked because he is known for his oil paintings, but definitely some great b/w stuff there.

Which style? All are different artists, and some had more than one style (Wally Wood for ex). What I take from them is innovation and attention to craft.

The "american comics style", yes it's not a single homogeneous style, so I'm asking in general terms, like asking if anyone here draws "manga style", manga is not homogeneous but when you see it you know it's manga.

It's more rooted in American comics. But I'm influenced by a number of things, preferring the storytelling and pacing of manga (while rejecting the weeb shit).

what's interesting about this piece, is that when you look at each piece individually, they don't look that good. E.g. the glass bulb, the hand, the random lab equipment pieces. But because there's so much shit going on, it just overwhelms you and becomes great. Kinda makes it seem more achievable
