The trick is to make the jaw more ovally and rounder and just move the facial features up. Delete the chin basically. The key isn’t drawing it, it’s drawing it in a way that LOOKS GOOD. Thats if you’re working with females. If you’re working with males you can do the sharp edge boxy underside.

I know very well my art is flawed and this was something fun to attempt, I even like your advice and I think its quite valid and should incorporate it when trying this again. add/substract more form to the neck. looks good but I think they feel more like down-ward looking gazes rather than shots from the chin up.
Think of the neck as a box with a cylinder infronth of it (the throat) that connects it to the chin
