you're doing realism studies but it seems the knowledge doesn't transfer to your illustrations, even if they're stylized. It looks like when you're doing studies you're more copying the 2d shapes and not switching your thinking to 3d forms. which would help with flatness of illustrations. I recommend practicing rotations and very foreshortened poses, maybe participate in /study/ thread >>4547223

I feel like people think I'm approachable anyway. But I'm chatty and a woman, which I think breaks barriers for people a lot. I definitely feel Thomas, Auto and Naf get treated differently. Probably because people are intimidated to a good degree. I used to have that sort of response too when I was younger so I get it. Don't let the tier lists get to you.

It's admirable of you to be posting things you are still working on, even though you know it's not your best. That's probably why you were ranked low, most tier listers just take a quick glance, if your profile is mostly wips and learning sketches they will rank you low compared to people who are just comfort-zoning and/or just very skilled painters/draftsmen.
Just keep practicing what you aren't skilled in, eventually people will notice and rank you higher because you will get better.

I think it's time banana overturned the blurred works and here is my reasoning: make blurred works banned, and let those artists figure out a way to submit 30 minutes of art. Whether they want to blur a gift, a nda, a shoddy piece, instead of being allowed to blur just use your creativity to come up with something that you can post instead, whether that means meal prepping on sunday by drawing for 3 hours and then cutting up 30 min screenshots lol. this anon, that there needs to be a balance, but all I have been seeing lately is people whining about the tiers and popular dads nonstop. If people are seriously annoyed with the blurring then just tribunal them and be done with it, so it goes to a vote instead of trolling in a thread. and if you want lesser known dads to get some attention then give them attention.

Part of me wishes there was no tier talk because it inevitably leads to people (completely understandably) getting jilted and discouraged by it. Part of being a artist is accepting that you have a certain amount of relative skill compared to others, which can be changed through hard work and determination if you are willing. Bitching in a thread momentarily may distract you from feeling of inadequacy, but at the end of the day its always more worth your time to work on improving yourself.
