Sorry anon, no one in the history of mankind got good at art past 20, that’s why most art schools have strict age cut-off, and most working professionals are in their mid-twenties. Better quit while you’re ahead and spent the rest 50 years of your life playing videogames or something.

>> No.4519599

i start in 24, prety sure it easy to get good before hit 30, only one thing here real deal, the hours u spend for learn and tryhard and ur feel of media where u drawning, i mean that feel of brush - rendering and other stuff - mechanicaly

Why do we keep getting these idiotic threads? It's several times a day, the older versions of this kind of thread don't even have a chance of getting archived before we get another one of these stupid posts.

Jesus christ OP, you're clearly looking for an excuse, a way out. If you want to leave then just leave already, but don't try to blame it on some kind of arbitrary number with your age.

This part is actually somewhat true though. Art schools literally have age cutoffs and older pros become art directors.

So rapidly declining brain plasticity prevents you from becoming artist, but not neurosurgeon, which takes at least 15 years before they can enter practice, got it, makes perfect sense

Also Mattias Pilhede is pretty good. Not professional level but better than anything most of you begs can draw.
>Blog post incoming
The problem with starting art in your 20s is that it requires more discipline and also requires you to humble yourself a lot more.
It is objectively more difficult to get good at drawing past your 20s but it isn’t impossible.
Plus, there’s no point in contemplating this fact.
Look at the people here who can draw. ALL OF THEM drew as kids. There’s no fucking way anyone who is good at drawing here didn’t start in their late 20s because I know that you kids don’t have the discipline or humility that it takes to learn to draw in your 20.
But you can use that to your advantage.
Why would you listen to some faggot that started drawing at age 3 when you can listen to someone like Volen CK who REALLY knows how to get good at drawing and doesn’t just direct you to Loomis or other shit that doesn’t work?
If you’ve been here long enough, you’ll know that the people here who can draw don’t actually know how they got good which is why they spam “Loomis” to beginners. Because if they did know, they’d be able to explain drawing as well as Volen

>> No.4524442

>>4520616
hi volen,

you need to start drawing as much as you talk about drawing.

A thread died for this.
However, it was most likely another "is it possible to learn if you are N years old" or "is it possible to become as good as an eceleb", so not much of value is lost.

>> No.4525164

If I'll tell you that you are gmi, you'll decide you still have a lot of time and postpone learning to an indefinite date.
If I'll tell you that you are ngmi, you'll use it as an excuse for not learning.
Any answer you'll get will change nothing. If you actually wanted to draw, you would have started drawing instead of creating this thread.

Yeah. It's true. So what? are you now gonna quit your life's passion cause some dick on the internet told you so?
Are you that much of a pathetic waste of space that you need strangers on the internet to give you excuses.
Look down the line 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, are you really going to live with yourself never pursuing your life's interest because somebody told you no?

2 to 5 years
that's the pro answer to how long basic training should last if you know what you are doing.
Also unironically study from an asian country, the west is really bad right now, not. Not saying anime in particular, You can look for examples like yoshitaka amano or hajime sorayama
oh and pick up traditional. standard pencil and paper are all you need to start.
