Is 23 too old to learn how to draw?

>> No.4504702

Yep the market is over saturated, there are kids who are pros at 16. even worst if you want to draw anime, you'll be competing with absolute try hards 140 iq warlords who are naturally gifted

No it's not too late unless you really don't want to be very poor all your life.

If you have a job and a bunch of responsibilities, then yes. You could still learn to draw but your progress would be pretty slow

>> No.4504726

>>4504702
Not if you have time and burnout resistance. Say you draw six hours a day every day for two years, in that time you'd burn nearly half the recommended hours to mastery away (4380 hours). That's about as much as an art student at FZD or some of the Cali schools does in a single year. You'd be commission ready and would probably be able to start freelancing if you studied properly.

Don't get why neets get inspired by van gogh, he only became famous after death and was very poor and unknown as far as he knew. He lived in angst and frustration because he never achieved the level he wanted to be at.

If you want to have this be your main career, probably yes. You could switch to an art career in your 30s if you start now though.

I laugh at 20-somethings asking this same damn question every week. Do you realize how young 23 is? Are these posts just trolling?

Unless you're married with 3 kids and a mortgage which keeps to chained to a job with no free time, you can learn to draw. This counts whether you're 20 or 50.

But you have to get to work.

No, its not.
Unless you have some kind of learning disability. Age, overall is not a huge factor for determining whether or not someone is capable of learning how to draw.

As long as you are a normal, healthy adult, you can learn most skills. I would like to mention that IQ and mental health also play a significant role, but that is too blackpilled for current /ic/ so i'll leave that alone.
