I'm thinking about an opt-in tierlist, where people have to post 3-5 pictures they feel represents their "real" art skill to be put on the tierlist, as to avoid the issue of judging people poorly becaus they had an off week or something. Just use the last finished painting/drawing. If they had an off week, they'll know on what level they are on an off week. No harm done.

If someone isn't interested in a tierlist, they don't have to read it.

Explaination of tiers. A +/- means that you're on the high or low end of the tier.
S tier: All around strong, can consistently produce appealing pieces with a high level of technical skill and aesthetic appeal.
A tier: Able to consistently produce appealing illustrations that demonstrate strong fundamentals, breadth of knowlege, and ability to complete pieces to a good level of finish. May be weighed down by weaknesses in a few areas.
B tier: Decent fundamentals and skill, but usually stays within a comfort zone of abilities. Most common issues are avoiding backgrounds, illustration composition, weak coloring/rendering and only drawing head-on perspective or simple poses.
C tier: Usually weaker skills in figure drawing, constuction, and form. Often able to compensate with strengths in colors or rendering.
D tier: Understands basic concepts of constuction but often struggles in application. Would reccomend to get more figure drawing in, and focus more on mileage.
E tier: Weak basic drawing skills. Struggles with drawing from reference and basic construction skills, such as drawing lines wrapping around the center of a citcle.
??? tier: It would honestly be unfair to compare you on this list, because your works obviously have skill behind them, but they are very different skills than the ones this list focuses on.

Please consider for this list, overall amount of skill was considered. This may result in some appearances of discrepancies within tiers. For example, Guespiere has weaker coloring/painting skills than other people in his tier, but is stronger than some of his peers in drawing. Tang is an opposite example, he has some drawing issues with bodies and faces, but has some strengths in painting and environments as seen in his blimp piece.
Level of completion/ambition was also a factor in rankings. mehmeh is more skilled than other members of his tier in many ways, but only does sketches and mainly portraits, which gave him a lower ranking.
Dads who do mainly copies/studies were also low-balled, like Echo, tsutra and Oneironaut, as it was difficult to determine which of their pieces were truly representative of their skills.

When you get to the very low tiers things blue together more. Engee has more confidence and design skill than Banana, but what pushed Banana up was that he has pretty good skills with inorganic perspecifive, and his lizard drawings are alright for what they are, while Engee consistently struggles with drawing cartoons.

Hoppy's main weakness is the comfortzone. I think if he could get better at placing characters in environments or in perspective he could see some gains, because the main issue with his work is that he does single character illustrations on a front-on view all the time. In retrospect I think he could have earned a B tier for his coloring and design, but I really do believe if hoppy just pushed himself more he could make it into A tier.
Konsui's main issues are figure drawing and construction. A lot of her works are stifled by having stiff gesture as well, in addition to perspective wierdness. She is able to make appealing works through her coloring/rendering, though.
Some areas I think she could focus on to level up would be gesture and drapery. Drawing characters on a perspective grid may also help her construction/perspective issues.

Unlike a lot of people in your range, construction seems to be your major strength. Focusing on coloring would give you some easy gains, and give your work a lot of appeal. I'd reccomend compiling an inspiration board of artists/works whose colors you enjoy, and try to break down how the relationships of the colors create emotional effects. Think about the effect on the mood of a piece when you use a complementary scheme vs an analagous scheme, cool vs warm, saturated vs desaturated, high key vs low key and etc. Ty imitating the color relationships your favorite artists do and try putting your own spins on them. Colorpicking can give you special insight into how the colors work as well.
Focusing more on dynamism and interesting poses would help make your work more interesting as well. You do a lot of simple standing poses.

Challenge yourself. Learn some technologies, but most importantly, look to develop your "problem-solver" mindset. Hopefully, you already have this, even if it is weak right now. Specific technologies and syntax can be learned later - even on the job, which is how I became an Oracle programmer - but without the drive to attack problems and come up with useful solutions, you won't be of any use to anyone.

If you want to be really technical, look for enginering- or mathematics-based degrees rather than business degrees. While there are a lot of technologies in the marketplace that involve "drag and drop"-style interfaces, the guys who are important to getting things done understand the methodology behind them as well, and I'd have a hard time believing you'd get that from a business-centric program.

I think focusing more on shapes would liven up your work, you seem to be leaning in that angle with a lot of your drawings of clothing, like the dad.zone picture and the March 20th and March 16th drawings. You are very well rounded for your skill level, focusing on area you want should help you.
seieki: D tier. Seems to be understanding drawing from reference/observation but ultimately just needs more mileage
lonku: B tier. Appealing stylization, colors, and shape design. Very well realized style. Main issue is just weakness in the fundies and form
rorg: A tier. Very strong and well-rounded, the main thing he could improve on is gesture and anatomy
dtierdaddy: C- tier. Okay at construction of inorganic objects, but seems to struggle more with characters. His work does look better when he brings it to a higher level of completion with lineart instead of a messy sketch (https://dad.gallery/submissions/46688).). If he could work to eliminate the basic anatomy/construction issues present in many of his daily drawings, he could level up easily.
bunnyburger: C tier. The car paintings are definitely his strongest pieces. A lot of his character pieces seem to have been given up mid-way, almost all of them are rough sketches or heavily incomplete. I think just having more drive to complete studies and pieces would help him see improvement.
Justamoon, fruitsalad, and shameboxx were intentionally skipped, as I only tiered people with at least 2 weeks worth of daily entries, or 14 submissions.

With your painting skills, I think you could approach improving by focusing on three "points": value, shape, and rendering

Value is what allows a piece to be "readable," in some ways it is the most important as it what people will notice first. Essentially, you want value contrast between the various elements of your piece so that a viewer can easily distinguish between the subject, background, and etc.

I'd suggest breaking down illustrations and film compositions into simple values, either just black and white compositions or light/medium/dark, until you feel comfortable "seeing" values.

Shape is just the literal shape of an area of color on an image. One thing I nocedin your recent self portrait in the hair is that you have some difficulty breaking up shadow/highlights shapes. To improve your rendering, I'd suggest doing some studies of photos and other artists. Your self portrait shows a lot of improvement in this area, so I would suggest to just keep practicing and studying.

Yes, there are plenty of artists who make more than I do, but to me, that's like pinning your hopes on playing professional football/basketball/baseball or having a smash hit album that comes out of nowhere. For every Sakimichan, there are a legion of artists better than me who are barely getting by.

The main issue I see in your work is not thinking in 3D space. Looking over the list again, I think you are more of a C-, but your core issue is that you do not think of body parts as 3D objects, and the result is your figures look very flat. The best thing you could do for yourself would to spend some time with Hampton/Loomis/whatever figure drawing book you like, and Croquis Cafe. Doing one CC session a day for a month or so should help you get a better bearing on this, especially if you try drawing from imagination, applying what you learned, after each session. Make sure you get crit after you first try figure studies, though, so you know you are doing them correctly so you can get the most use from them.

I focused on fundamental skills primarily, but illustrative capability was a big factor for many artists. For example, Whizzard has very weak figures for his tier, but has beautiful shapes, coloring, and a distinctive style. Coin's fundies are also a bit wonky, but his ability to draw environments and paint is what earned him his spot.

Appeal is very subjective. I don't like Coin's style very much, but I can see the skill behind his work, and I really like Hoppy's stuff, but he has a lot of technical weaknesses and a limited range. I think you've actually made a lot of improvement lately. I like your recent piece of the selfie a lot, and your colors feel like they've gotten better since your hiatus.
A few things I think could help your art are value structures, and shape design.
Your values work in that they are usually readable, but they could be even stronger if you used them as a compositional aide. Try breaking up your compositions into a few areas of value, see how you can break up the improtrant objects in the image with only three values, and still make it readable. It seems like you are doing this for your motorcycle piece, and if you follow through on it, I think you'll make an even stronger piece than your current work.
As for shapes, I know you're in the /las/ discord, so read up on everything Mathias has ever posted about shape design in the crit channel. It's insightful stuff, and he explains it better than I could.

i'm c tier so i probably shouldn't be giving advice, but this is something that kinda helps me:
establish where your horizon is in the picture. draw gestures curves that capture the motion. block out the shape of your subject. blocking out is where you should roughly capture the proportions. then start drawing the subject. obviously more practice will make you faster at this.

disclaimer: i still suck at this, but this is kinda the idea that i'm noticing when i try to draw poses that don't look stiff

Trust me, drawing in general becomes so much easier when you know how to construct properly. You should go through 'dynamic sketching' . That's even worse because the US tests less than China, which means even more people in the US have died without access to testing. At one time the US did 4,000 tests over the span of 2 weeks while asian countries go through tens of thousands of tests a day. The last part is wrong, in mid February China did the opposite where they retrospectively assumed all cases that didn't get a test but died of pneumonia were added to the census as confirmed coronavirus ("clinically diagnosed" as opposed to using the polymerase test) whereas the US actively suppresses the chances of you getting a test. Something like 1 in 10 people who want one get tested in the US. And they STILL HAVE THE HIGHEST NUMBERS

I think theme of the month stuff is cool, but requiring an on-theme post every consecutive day for a month seems super overbearing.
