Guess life sucks today. Spent months looking for work. When I finally found it, not even 3 weeks after I got laid off from work because of that stupid cuntvirus bullshit. I'm thinking to turn myself to hentai and adult comic as it seems with video games these are the only surviving industries for artists right now. Do you have any tips/ressources/info on hentai artists or how to start a business in that regard? Most help will be most welcome!!

going straight hentai from zero wont get you the big bux tho. most people that made it started from sfw works built a fanbase from there and then teased them with borderline porn til they spill out that cash

Are you already a pro-level artist with years of drawing experience?
If not you have no hope, because that's who your competition is.

If anything, they are not being aggressive enough.

Soon we will have a massive population of out of work artists with years of experience, a lengthy history of professional paid work on a huge scale for known studios and connections with everyone that hires on an almost first name basis.

If you have no history, and less than 2 years experience, you are not going to find work making shit unless your stuff is fucking immaculate to behold and 100% without a flaw. Otherwise no one is getting professional work right out the gate for the next several years to come.

I'm not really popular adult artist, but I got my first commission within 24 hours of first art upload, so my experience is worth something:

1) set boundaries of what you will and will not draw and never overstep them, otherwise it's sure way to burn out
2) if you haven't got any experience making adult art, start doing some studies of various artists that close to what you like to do yourself, to pick up proper aesthetics
3) it's really easy to get commission if you get your work in front of the right people - do some research and find out big paying commissioners
4) fanart is always going to give you more publicity than original work, but make sure not to fall in trap of only drawing fanart, it's going to be another burnout
5) somewhere down the line you want to establish you own "thing", being either characters or some other idea you can capitalize on later, with VNs, comics, illustration or something like that, so you won't be forever stuck doing commissions or fanart
6) don't worry social media numbers, after certain amount thier impact on your ability to get commissions is negligeable
7) be professional and friendly, but don't be a fucking pushover when communicating with potential commissioners. Bail out of commission if it feels iffy
8) when you starting out in scene, be sure to get visible - upload often even if it's sketches or WIPs or just visual shitposts, comment under other people art, etc.

I haven't made it personnally but it depends on what you are willing to do. Technically, you don't have to be a beast. If your work is easy to consume, consistent and decent to look at you'll have your chance (look at jinusenpai's work for example). What most people do actually is simply about drawing what's popular. "Fanarts" of Nintendo games and everything like that. They build a follower base like that and then they do commissions. After a while if things work great, they open a Patreon. To market yourself and to create connections with other artists is what you want. It doesn't have to be a strong connection and sometimes only a comment on some of their art can give you exposure.

Follow what this anon >>4442548 says.
But if you don't like NSFW art that much in the first place, don't do it only for some bucks. You'll hate yourself and maybe even drawing pretty quickly.

Because most of your type quit and it's hopeless to put effort into people that quit. If you posted your art and had skill to back it up the replies in the thread would be way more helpful and informative.
