When watching tv I often draw sitting in a chair with my sketchbook resTing on the arm of the chair. Probably a 45 degree angle from my center, with source in my lap.
Tfw drawings look good.
Tfw pick up the sketchbook and bring it closer And discover warped head exactly the same as your pic. When sketching from that fucked angle it looked normal.

That said, While he’s great and legendary and everything I often find Vilppu’s drawings a little ugly.

He's the equivalent of a weeb who draws superficial imitations of anime.
He's copying the mannerisms of his teachers, the way they move their pencil, the way they build up their strokes, what their construction look like, but in the end it's all style and no substance and he clearly lacks the foundational and raw understanding of what he's doing.
