Sometimes you find paintings that are so good that you can't help but respect the artist. It's like I've been trying to find this painting my whole life. That feeling you get when you find art that was practically made for you can't be described in words. It can only be felt by the individual.

This is "Dracula" by Arantzazu Martinez

I felt that when I discovered Sargent but it wasn’t one particular painting or drawing.
It washed over me as I looked at image after image of 100% pure unobtainium.

Also Ingres’ portrait drawings. Which I discovered before Sargent. It was exactly the way I would have drawn if I could.
Sargent kind of took over my mind later though. Same experience.
My natural unfiltered drawing style is somewhere between these two only a thousand times shittier.
