I hate lineart too, but a tip that helped me is that you shouldn't treat lineart as just tracing over your sketch. Instead of zooming in and meticulously redrawing the same line until it's perfect, try zooming out and 'recreating' your sketch. As in, draw over it without worrying too much about the finer details. Though this method probably relies on not having a chicken-scratch way of drawing in the first place.

Alternatively there are more painterly artstyles where lineart isn't so important.

A thing I hear a lot when discussing Japanese lineart is to have a large canvas (like 2000x3000 for example) and a small pen size. Having varying line widths (e.g thicker lines and areas of black where shadows are likely to appear) can help too.

It's a wall. Usually people get confused by the abundance of tools of 3D software while stuff like 2D software are just "put pen in canvas".
Past that wall, 3D is just braindead easy.

If we are purely talking programs then I totally agree with you, but "learning 2D" is not really about the medium itself.

Just buy the Apple iPad Pro 12.9.
The issue with practically every single device out there is they're incapable of perfectly, actually aligning the tip of the pen with the ink that comes out, something that will persist since everyone just apes on Wacom that haven't bothered to do anything.
The Apple iPad Pro 12.9 doesn't have this issue - that's what happens when you buy from a company with 1 trillion dollars worth of budget.
