Depends, with my personal work I like to take as much time as possible, so I'll be working on it for weeks or months until I'm happy with it, if it's for freelance(work) or stylized work for social media (social media I'm trying to grow as a second job) It can take a 2 to 3 days.

Commissions within 3 days if I focus on the sketch, line art and then color each day. Personal work I start at night and then finish the next day. My pieces take 2-7 hours

Depends on what kind of work I'm doing. It's usually as follows:
>10 minutes for a portrait sketch
>30 minutes for a full sketch
>2 hours for inking
>up to 6 hours for inking something big
>2 hours for a digital portrait
>up to 20 hours for a large digital illustration

In general I have to limit the time I spend on artworks.
30 minutes (sketch) to 3-4 hours (colored piece).
it's hard to give a proper answer, since it depends on the complexity of each artwork separately. also, some days I'm faster than others.

pic attached took me about 3h.

Too long. Even though I draw in a very cartoony style I need ~2-4h for a simple character illustration. That's why I don't take commissions, it's not worth it until I get better/faster.

I almost exlusively do sketches cause i suck at line art. On a good day a detailed sketch would take 10 minutes, 30 minutes if its scenery. A full drawing takes 3 hours, not including breaks.

>> No.4396886

It depends on what it is-- commission, patreon reward, or otherwise-- and to what degree of "finished" it is. I can crank out gestures in less than a minute, but something more detailed usually takes 30 minutes to an hour, longer if I spend time adding more detail, refining, etc. It mostly depends on what I'm drawing, though.

Well I'm still /beg/ but
20-40 minutes sketch
1-2 hours linework with a fineliner up to 4 with background

This but it takes about 2 hours for me to draw a simple sketch because I'm slow as shit and I think I might have dyspraxia.
I'll probably get flack for this, but after a point there's diminishing returns when it comes to actually learning things and improving, and at that point my time would be better spent doing something else. Once I can sketch things that look about right, then I can start worrying about making them look presentable.

From 3 to 8 hours for an illustration.
And from 3 to 20 hours for an animation loop.

>> No.4398707

>>4398669
2 hours is at least into the right ballpark for learning something off of a failure.
30 mins is getting something down, deciding it sucks and just giving up.

>> No.4398735

>>4398669
2 hours isn't that bad. But take as much time as you need. This isn't a race, draw at your own pace and don't put too much pressure on you.
We tend to forget that, but the old masters could take months or years to finish a painting. They had different medium and the canvas size wasn't the same as today, but still. It takes time.
>I think I might have dyspraxia
