There is nothing to worry about, no one notices you already so things cannot get worse.

Getting unnoticed is a good thing. It means you have no pressure and can build up your body of work in peace.

Have two accounts. One anonymous where you can experiment wit different styles and theme and one with your name where you post your best work.

I was also scared, but decided to just do it about a week ago, only 5 posts on twitter so far and I already have 2 followers and each post has around 30 likes and 5 retweets. No idea if that's good or not but it's enough to make me feel like people like my work. (Also, I'm not good, every time I post anything here people tell me to go back to /beg/)

no one cares, so don't worry about it, no one gets attention when they start anyway

Nothing to worry about, Unless you draw something remotely loli, then every single mentally ill lgbtq furry will cancel you.

Not being noticed is kinda nice in retrospect desu. But it's probably just a personal problem in my case.
I used to have accounts that wouldnt get any attention at all so I could basically just post whatever the fuck I wanted to. Nowadays, I have a decent amount of followers, but at the expense of almost 80% japanese only speakers because I did a bit of fanart for a currently Japan only game. I can read a bit but man writing captions for each image is a huge pain now since I'm not fluent enough. Also can't do any text posts anymore since I get unfollows whenever I use any english kek. I don't have that many followers (a few hundred) so the ones I lose are still kind of a hit.

Anyways, not being noticed is the least of your problems like what everyone else says. You can't get abandoned if you had no one in the first place.
If you still want to get noticed, do a bit of art for either a new or extremely small fandom since you'll most likely be the only person doing fanart. Even if your art is bottom of the barrel SOMEONE will still notice. Just post oc stuff at a decent interval so you don't end up like me.

This is me but with patreons and especially commissions.
I have an alright following and even my worst posts get decent attention, but I'm terrified that if I open commissions nobody will contact me for one and I'll look like a buffoon who thinks his art is worth something.
I'm also afraid of both under and overpricing myself. If I charge too little I'll get a flood of people asking for one and I'll have to turn most of them down. If I charge too much nobody will want one in the first place

Easy OP, practice in a drawthread first. If you get a lot of (you)'s, you're ready for a blog.

>> No.4389792

Use tags, post non-spammy comments on other user’s posts, buy ads, post good work, interact with your followers. Good luck anon.

I don't get it, how did you get your Japanese only speakers in the first place without posting with english? Did you tag in Japanese?

How many (you)s is considered ready? 2? 4?

3 is okay, it's when your skills start to shine. But 6+ is what you want, if someone asks for your blog, that counts as 2 (you)'s.

The fanart I did was for a game that doesn't have an english translation, so naturally it ended up being mostly non-english speakers. It doesn't really have an english tag for the most part so I just went along with the one they were using.
