What kind of brushes should I be using to get nice crisp shadows in the hair like in pic related? When I look at guides for shading anime hair there's plenty of stuff about where to apply the shadows and whatnot but not enough with the technical details. When I try the method of slapping paint down then erasing I never get smooth enough edges and if I try painting directly I don't get sharp enough points. I really don't think I'm supposed to be outlining the shadows with pen and filling cause I've never seen any artists mention that.
