>read the sticky, study anatomy every day
>copy 1000 anime faces, then do 1000 more from imagination
>draw 1 anime girl a day
And you'll be able to do that in a year or three. Without colors.

Unironically study Bargue plates. If you have the courage to go through a few of them, copying stuff like this will be easier than eating a piece of cake. The book is available in our General artbooks thread.

Well,
after 50 days I started to feel like I was losing my sanity so I started to copy anime and I just copy anime and copy it again. I copied my favorites. I copied every favorite from my favorites.

Read Perspective Made Easy in the artbook thread, beginner section. Try applying it by recreating backgrounds or studying real life. It takes no time and will dramatically improve your perspective.

Just get gud at it lmao that's what I did. 2 years ago, I never would have tried any super ambitious foreshortening/perspective work, but now it's my bread and butter. I would post my work, but it's all NSFW giantess porn, which I'm not gonna just like, post unwarranted lmao

For real advice, start by drawing a piece with heavy foreshortening from your imagination. Then, go back with refs and see where you went wrong. Take photos of yourself if you can't find any, I've never been able to find reliable/quality foreshortened refs, so I just do them myself. After you've gone back over and redlined your work, start fresh again. Rinse and repeat.

Things to keep track of:
-Overlapping forms/shapes. Overlapping is a great tool for creating depth. There's no need to show 100% of a person (full face, full torso, etc) for the viewer to understand what they're looking at.
-Don't worry about overcrowding some spaces, and leaving other spaces basically empty. This is, in fact, a great way to show basic perspective.
There are other pointers, but they're more person specific, and they won't help anyone. If people want to reply asking for pointers, I could try and help.

Also, I'm not saying I'm a god at perspective/foreshortening, only that I've been doing it in every major piece for like, a year and a half, is all.
