Anyone else have severe anxiety showing your drawings after seeing how people bullied Proko for his imagination video?

sorry about that stan, hope the grind is going well :)

Honestly people only genuinely get bullied for being lazy, and they deserve it. Proko deserves to be bullied because he makes money of teaching people to draw when he can't draw himself ie. a hack/fraud.

this. you shouldnt have anxiety about posting your bad art as long as youre honest and aware of your skill level.

also to add to this /ic/ and its satellite communities are not an accurate representation of the art community. people here are a lot more honest and brutal and there are way more shitposters than on say, twitter. it is highly unlikely you will ever get directly shit on for posting your artwork online unless its explicitly controversial. worst case is it will get ignored and you will feel unvalidated.

I've always avoided posting art online, but I'm fine posting it here anonymously. Is that weird?

No. It was literally beaten out of me.

Literally noone is going to call your art bad in real life, even if it actually is bad, because people generally dont feel comfortable shitting on others in person

The only reason to post on /ic/ is to get shitposted and use that anger to draw more, the ratio of actually useful advice is 1:10 at best

I don't mind posting my work but I'm really anxious about using social media in general to the point where I have to force myself to even browse it. I also hate tagging my pieces so I rarely do it.

No because I don't pretend to be professional enough to teach others how to become artists, and I practice imagination drawing often so I am certain his fate will never befall me

This. The only place I've been shat on is /ic/. Never on insta, twitter, discord, real life... at the very worst I get small constructive criticism like "the nose is a bit off".

>> No.4349595

>>4349426
I disagree. Most the advice I've gotten on /ic has been vague but well-meaning at best. On the Discord servers, I've gotten consistent feedback, reference material, and even redlines from the more experienced artists.

I didn't say discord sucked, just /ic/

Ultimately /ic/ suffers from heavy brain drain, once you reach intermediate and learn the fundamentals its mostly a matter of practicing them

hella insecure. Try to do more clear, confident lines. You will suck at it at first. Try to think in basic shapes, even if it doesn't look right you can always notice why. With this chicken-scratching that you're doing the improvement process becomes really stagnant.

The only thing that makes me anxious is having no new art to PMW when requested.

Imagine not drawing every day... haha, that would be epic fail, right guys? Haha...

Not really to be honest, if someone thinks my art is shit that’s fine, if someone wants to attempt to bully me because of my shitty art they need to get a life lmao

I'm an attention whore, whether its someone calling me a faggot or complementing me I always enjoy the attention. If anything I avoid posting in fear of no one giving a shit

Why should you worry about art "advice" from people (scratch: bored troll kiddies) who know jack shit about it? Same for any job really. Of course a noob may find it "funny"that say an architect struggles to place a window on a house plan, because they don't see all the calculations going on and couldn't even design a toolshed if THEY had to do it. Now if they are smart noobs they start acting humble as soon as they acually need an artist, knowing that if they're forced to do it themselves they're screwed.
Please show your traces, studies, first tries, and experiment with stuff you did not do before. Your progress is not worth sacrificing for appearances.

Bros the lines don't overlap at all, why did the DB artist get so much flak from the public?

He easily could've made his big comeback by now if he just drew from imagination for like an hour a day. Makes me sad honestly.

what bullying?

1. Acquire scat fetish
2. lose fear of getting shit on
3. ?????
4. No longer improve because you're sexually stimulated by getting shat on
5. Oh fuck go back
