I remember my first drawing class, they hired the roundest motherfucker they could have possibly found, he wasn't fat in the traditional sense, of having several layers of fat folds, no, he was just round like a fucking circle. I know you're joking around and I had a chuckle. But for the sake of anatomy learning, this is the difference between subcutaneous (under the skin) and Visceral (in the gut) fat. It's more prominent in men but women can have it too, but visceral fat is fat inside the actual abdominal cavity (under your muscles). Visceral fat tends to have a "Hard" feeling and rounder appearance since it pushes out the rigid muscles Whereas subcutaneous fat is under less pressure so is softer and is effected more by gravity so is less round. But of course truly overweight people will have a combination of both so take that into account.
