Seems like a good as any thread to ask but, is 20yo too late to learn to draw?
Will i ever be good enough to make the illustrations of my own books?
Also, should i loomis or is it a bad idea?

If you want to make a career of it, probably unless you work hard and find it coming to you quickly and naturally. If you're interested in art as a hobby it is never too late. Loomis is great as a foundation but you don't need to treat it as gospel.

No, but since you already asked, means you're not really confident. Just start with books or video tutorial that's help you fix you line drawing before anything else lmao then from there you have to make a decision on what kind of art you want to make the most.

I mean, it might be too late to become successfully and make money with drawing and I mean MIGHT.

I doodled all my life and people praised it but it was shit.
I discovered Prokos tutorials and just after month gesture training my skill got went up more than in a decade of doodling.

After that I went on to learn anatomy and perspective, basics of light and shadow, some other fundies and I can certainly see 100% of /ic becoming good artists from a technical standpoint in couple of years assuming they actually learn things.

Your question should be not "Loomis or not Loomis".
What you should ask is "What do I read after Loomis?"

Of courses he would, he could even be amazing. It's not like art is a fucking sport where your body physically can't keep up with the physical punishment of having to train extensively every day. As long as he has the determination and will to draw he can become a great artist. The only things that make it difficult for you as you age are additional responsibilities and time management.

Obviously when you're younger you have a better ability to absorb information like a sponge and as long as you continue to practice, you maintain that. Doesn't mean you can't do that as you get older. It just takes more concentration.

Anyone here who's saying it's too late has brain damage.
