Hey guys,

I'll be a digital nomad soon so I need a laptop to replace my desktop. My current specs are Windows 8.1 - i7 4790 3.60Ghz - Gtx760 - 16GB RAM.

I need a laptop at least as good as my current pc with a top budget of €2000. Main use will be as a "desktop"(meaning I'll NOT bring it to the beach) painting in photoshop, browsing and watching movies/music

Thanks for any recommendation!

Some notes:
I need a couple of usb to connect both my drawing tablet(usb a) and an external ssd(usb c)
large internal storage is not that important so 256GB ssd will be fine.
No card reader/ sim slot/ 4K / necessary
I'll be using bt headphones so no great speakers necessary
no bigger than 16'' because of carry on measurements

256gb is complete overkill, I use it as my main device and computer replacement and I still have no use for that much storage. 128gb is more than enough unless you hoard shit, and you can easily go lower if you treat it as a companion device.

Got an iPad Pro to replace my Surface and it’s like a cold glass of water in hell. They really fucking nailed it with the pencil. Initial activation force is so low, light lines are effortless to draw and no more ntrig wobble all over the damn place.

It does suck that CSP is subscription only, but in a way it’s motivating me to git gud and start taking commissions to pay for it.

OP, since you’re looking at a desktop replacement and already have a drawing tablet, just go browse around your local computer store and pick what you like the looks of best within your budget.

Alternatively, keep your desktop and get an iPad Pro, and ascend to the next level of art gains.
