A decade goes from 1 to 10, just like a century goes from 1 to 100.
There’s a whole year until the decade is over.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decade
> An ordinal decade in the Anno Domini[a] year numbering system is a period from a year which ends on the digit 1 to the following year which is a multiple of ten; for example, the period from 1961 to 1970 was the 7th decade of the 20th century (or the 197th decade), and the period from 2001 to 2010 was the 1st decade of the 21st century (or the 201st decade).[5]

you are right, I mean when you say "the 70's" it's referring to anything between 71-80. That's just basic history

but I can see how it's confusing especially for zoomers

>> No.4243248

>>4243234
>The most common way to refer to decades is to group years based on their shared tens digit, such as the nineteen-sixties (1960s) referring to the period from 1960 to 1969.[3][4] This is the definition generally used on Wikipedia. Sometimes, only the tens part is mentioned (60s or sixties), although this may leave it uncertain which century is meant.

Hmm.
- Loish - what can i say, she basically introduced me and thousands of other people to digital art. i dont really follow her nowadays because i kind of grew out of her art but i still have a lot of respect for her. she never gets caught up in any internet drama, her art is pleasant and recognizable, she has a nice and sincere personality; honestly, what more to ask for.
- Awanqi - i cant even begin to put my love for her into words.
- choodraws - i know this is random and she's not that good, whatever, i feel like she started a very specific trend in drawing and that trend speaks to me personally on many levels. i wish more people still created this kind of art and that she came back to her old style.
- 70percentethanol - there are a lot of artists like her but it was the first one of this "genre" that i was introduced to and I still try to replicate the brushwork and color palettes in my own work sometimes.
- Peter Han - ic hates him for some reason, idc. i love this guy, he's really inspirational. Not many people have this kind of energy and motivation, let alone are willing to share it, which for me alone compensates for anything that lacks in his art
- Even amundsen - really inspired me to finally work on my anatomy and perspective understanding
- Symbolist painters - I think I started digging into symbolism about 2 years ago and it changed my opinion on art general in many ways. It also helped me understand value and color theory a lot.

I don't follow all of these artists too much and there are a lot of others I've been fond of lately but these are the ones that influenced me the most over last 10 (or even 20) years specifically.

I wish there were some actual answers to this thread instead of retarded arguing about what word "decade" means

Opm guy is fucking generic. Cant drawn backgrounds. Only the odd cut and paste asset from clip paint studio or 3d program. His best stuff is literally just redraws of the godlike composition and storytelling of ONEs original work. New stuff all sucks from him. He also traces a lot of poses, like watermelon crushing girl. Adding anime eyes to real people is pretty shitty inspiration. Hes legitimately worse than ilya.

Holy shit imagine knowing so little about the actual way Murata works while still confidently making retarded assumptions based on what he read on /ic/ from that one thread months ago.
I can't fathom being this much of a braindead sheep.
