I just got offered a position in a local art gallery and a local band just hired me to design t-shirts for them :)
Anybody else get this??

yup but i really dont like any of the commissions i get. literally nothing i've done so far i'd like to share on my insta or anything. its always some boring shit like portraits for gifts or weird illustrations for tshirts of some random business.

well, i got the money anyway so whatever.

There are a lot of art gallery scams you need to watch out for.

why is /ic/ so full of teenagers?

>increase rates by 50%
>post open for commissions
>get 1-2 commission requests daily for the next 7 or so days

And because i take full upfront i'm now about 2k$ richer. Have I been undercharging all this time? Seems like it. Pricing art is very tricky.

Vanity galleries mostly. Some straight up ask for money and I've seen others make you sell tickets for them and charge you with a big fee if you don't meet their quota.
