i like your style but there's not much of a point to having characters pop out of nearly every panel they're in. it's a cool thing when you do it once or twice, but if you're constantly doing it, then it just looks like you aren't drawing panels the right sizes and causes the cartoon to look messy.

This is awesome I wouldn't recommend you change much desu but if I had to nitpick:
"that guy has sunglasses on too" - and I've got a bad feeling about this dealer.
That choice of consecutive sentences feels a bit clunky
and again with "me neither. Man that guy was so cool"

The art style is great, humour is on point. looks good in black and white as I'm getting a film noir vibe from it anyway.
Anatomy is fine, it's good enough that it has a nice charm to it.
I think if you tried to make it look "correct" it would lose the appeal that it has.

I am not the anon who responded originally. I'm the anon who made blackjack and i'm about to tear this to shreds because it sucks but you should still keep making comics. Anyways, in no particular order:

Picnic spot panel is entirely irrelevant, you establish an environment and then never reference it. the environment doesn't make sense in the first place. why wouldn't you have them picnicking in a graveyard, or anywhere else that might have ghosts?

The entire story/punchline is literally just the last 2 panels, and you broke those into 4 panels for no discernible reason.

The three panels of the characters being spooked are cramped as fuck and largely unnecessary.

The water/container comes out of nowhere, needs to be referenced in prior panels. easy to do considering they are having a picnic where they would have food and drink.

The environment is already barebones as fuck, which is not necessarily a problem, but then the only spacial reference we have (the blanket) disappears after a single panel.

The blanket turns into the ghost, that's why it vanishes. I just failed to convey it to the audience.
I didn't really understand how panels were supposed to work because that was the first comic I ever drew but looking back I really should have planned it better and focused more on conveyance of the idea to the audience so things just don't happen out of nowhere like the water and ghost blanket.

This is the most feedback I've gotten in a while so I appreciate it all.

We can't see that, we can't understand that either. If the ghost was the same color schemes as the blanket it would help but even then you'd need it to be spaced differently than just 1 panel blanket and 1 panel ghost.

It seems to imply a husband and wife talking about their kid.
Only one of the parents changed when the child conceived a kid, this heavily implies that only one of them is now a grandparent, which would mean that the unchanged one is not the biological parent. So its a comic about an unfaithful partner and finding out your kid isnt actually your kid and not just about teenage pregnancy.

So long as you have an interesting concept I don't see why not. David McKean uses actual photographs, cutouts, and phsyical objects all collaged together and paints on top of them with very impactful results.

The buildup to this and the paneling is fucking awesome. This is really promising stuff.
