this work doesnt have his characteristic curvilinear perspective and the characters dont mix with eachother that much. considering how much lore its included in the mural, lore which kjg couldnt be aware off (nobody expects the banana, players and their champion of choise, musicians, commentators etc), most likely he did not have free rein on this one, and was told:

>next to it you draw those 2 champions painting each other
>bellow you draw try to include as many skins of this very loved champion
and so on

they tried to include a longer list as possible of lol history into this that they limited his flow. bet he only did it because they paid very good. how much do you guys think? 50k-200k?
