Normal people go to /co/ for the win-o threads .
They just post links of their new rips/scans to /co/ but i know for a fact that they don't use 4chan at all. They don't interact with shitposters, but sometimes fulfill random requests on what to upload but usually just post links to their uploads at do uploads higher rates during wednesdays.

They also buy those comic books and artbooks, and recently the english localized manga, they share. So you'd see them pointing out artbooks are normally stupid expensive when they look thru requests.

There's artbooks for revalations 2, 5 and 6 for resident evil. Nothing for the new game and as far as i know nothing for silent hill besides maybe something by the guy who created the monsters in the original games, but good luck with that one.

If the artbook is originally a PDF, there's some worth in that format because often times, the PDF is just artwork layered on top of each other. If you open the PDF in Photoshop, you can extract the individual images from the pages, even if the illustration appears to be covered in text. The covers of books, for example.

Bloat isn't good either. If this were an actual artbook, then yeah go for the scans all the way (provided that they're good) and archive the digital version anyway. I don't need 300DPI for a simple catalog book that's mostly text, plus the ebook versions have the text on a separate HTML layer so there's no need to OCR. The filesize is negligible so it's not a matter of storage either. That being said, I'm grateful that the book was scanned because I ain't paying $20 for an ebook that I'm only sorta interested in reading.

That guy is known for taking material from sadpanda, 4chan, and other English sites.

What I want to know however is where he's getting the rest of his stuff. He posts a lot of scanned manga, TTRPG, and video game guidebooks. It's common for people to back up their magazine collections digitally, and there's companies that do this. However due to the strict piracy laws few Japanese release them. The suggestion is that these scans have been leaked from these collections.

He's probably getting it from some P2P or some underground forums. I've tried doing google searches for these guides, and before being posted to the site, I only find sales pages for them.

The issue is, there's probably more than what he's posting. At least he doesn't compress the files. Observing his behavior of what is posted to sad panda, and what he posts on the site, he only posts a fraction of the artbooks. He's also very lazy and will copy-paste the title of whatever's uploaded. So you can tell it's from an English site if it only has an English title.
