Look at anime you find appealing and really try to map out the proportions and placement of features in relation to each other. Try to draw with similar proportions (not just copying) and then compare. Getting good at drawing is mostly about mastering a variety of disciplines until it becomes unconscious so just keep drawing and trying to get a feel for things until it becomes natural.
