It is by society that we need fantasy. To maintain the former requires that you provide the latter. If you'd remove fantasy society itself would crumble under the untameable desires of man.

The Bible has a lot of stuff advocating for anarcho-primitivism like this, and understanding where it comes from makes me disagree with it less. For instance, the original sin was shame and prudity. Sexuality wasn't controversial or taboo in Eden.
Still, we already live in a society. No use bitching about it now.

To keep it short, what is due to God is Latry. Giving to something what is due to God is idol-latry, whorshipping of a false god. An example in the Bible is Moses erecting a snake-pole so people can find him from a distance and he will heal them. Once they began worshipping the snake because of being healed, he destroyed the pole. Also he had a badass Staff with a carved snake so apparently making pictures is ok sometimes. We're going to hell anyway, so just draw, no excuse.
