Imo your stuff would look better if you simplified some lines into larger curves, particularly around the obliques and hips here. Marko Djurdjevic has some video where he talks about varying your linework for a more organic touch, but it doesn't feel like that here, it just feels bumpy and gnarly. Is that you're going for with the old lady thing though maybe? I don't know, just a thought.

I kinda 'discovered' that Marko technique on my own recently, but the marge sketch is older. I was thinking about anatomy, like obliques, hipbone, gluteus medius, gluteus maximus etc.. but I see your point. Gonna simplify that area.

I downloaded that Marko course and it was pretty bad. I don't know if that drawing style is that feasible with digital either unless you're rolling with a high stabilizer like you get using traditional on paper.

yeah, i feel like i know what i have to do to improve. it's just getting there is a pain. i gotta say though i never studied Loomis' work other than reading his Heads&Hands book. i'm doing figure drawing from videos every day though so that's something.
