not really. you have to know what the parts are for, and be able to stylize them no different than human anatomy. if you don't you'll just end up drawing erasers with tires like >>4012046. OP image is a car guy, but you can sorta tell that he's drawn that car a billion times as the motorcycle next to it is kinda bonkers.

The same way /beg/ looks at and studies basically nothing but faces and nude girls is the same way /obeg/ need to look at a whole bunch of cars and things like pic related.
If you already have decent fundamentals it should make the education grind a lot less stressful but it's still somewhat difficult. cars have a fuck ton of easy-to-parse documentation online unlike human anatomy so it shouldn't be too much hassle if you're serious.

I think the books purpose is more to get you to keep in mind all the general perspective tricks to use while constructing a bit. And some are really easy to pull off and useful, like the X to understand where the center of a rectangle is, the ellipse stuff,...

If you just want non-aliasing, then most softwares can do this. There's the Pencil tool in PS, aliasing brush setting in CSP and Binary tool in SAI.

But if you want a true 1-px brush without pixel coupling artefacts, then SAI, MSPaint or actual pixel art softwares (like Asperite) are your only real solutions.
