I have mixed feelings towards cute loli art.
On the one hand I like them, because I love cute girls, on the other hand I think they look retarded, because it's way too light hearted for my taste. I can't identify at all with such "art". It always seems to me like a very naive and spoiled person must have done it.

I think the naive one is yourself. Cute loli is so idealized, so indulgent, that it backlashes against reality and makes you all the more aware of the negatives of your life. There is a natural affinity between this type of art and negative emotion, and the people who make it are usually quite negative themselves.

Maybe you encountered this negativity yourself and are running away from it by criticizing it.

Not them, while cute art is fine, loli by itself tends to get annoying. I like cute styles, styles that look soft and fluffy. I'm not too big of a fan when the entire aspect of the characters are cuteness but turned up to 11.

Its a weird line, but essentially I'm just hugely turned off when everything is about being cute, and lolis are by far the biggest offender of this. Its not idealized, its one note and offensively boring.

You're generalizing. When something is one-note or one-dimensional that's bad, but that's an issue of bad writing rather than loli. It's also not what the poster I responded to was talking about. They complained about it being too light-hearted to relate to.

Take pic related for example. It is that very fluffy stylization you talk about, in a lighthearted SoL comedy harem series. Utterly flagrant hedonistic indulgence. Now consider the context of the person who, when making a comic about this indulgent paradise, drew this scene of being held by a cute little girl with a big smile, being told they've done a good job. Is the point of this "cuteness turned up to 11", is it made by a "spoiled and naive person"? Or is it the author writing about unfulfilled desire for their efforts to be rewarded with acceptance and affection by a superior being? The same type of acceptance that serves as one of the core principles of Christianity, for example.

The first person is naive, but you're just a simpleton.
