don't crosshatch hair in different directions like that. It flattens all the forms, especially when you aren't following one direction for the hatching (which can be stylistic, but has to be done correctly). Block in areas of value, draw the individual strands that stand out the most, and leave it be. if you need the hair to be darker just group more values together.

I had a lot of fun with this, tried to focus mainly on the values in the hair cause I wanted to shade shiny stuff. Also, I feel like this will be pointed out- there isn't a slit in my eyebrow because I was trying to follow a fashion trend, it's an actual scar

I understand gender dysphoria being a thing and some people need to look like the opposite sex to have peace with themselves. But it makes me question is getting surgery down there, both mtf and ftm is even worth it. I feel for the ones who really regret it. Getting a doctor to agree for the surgery is hard enough. I know some trans people that are okay with just taking hormones and not planning on surgery aside from one who is getting breast reduction.
Some days I was I was a guy, because I think life would be easier, but that doesn't mean I want my vagina turned inside out. I still want my tubes tied and I know getting that done is a challenge, that's another surgery most doctors refuse to do.

This is an old trick by now. Portrait artists have no creativity and can't draw anything from imagination, so they resort to tricks like smearing the paint, putting in random colors, cover the portrait in cool geometric patterns etc to make it LOOK LIKE ART BUT IT IS NOT AND YOU NORMIES ARE FALLING FOR IT. It is literally a trick to make it look interesting but it has no meaning whatsoever and it is not art.
