Clean your screen, and wear a drawing glove. The iPad Pro has a coating that will give some resistance as long your hand oils aren't all over the screen.

I got an iPad 10.5 from 2017 back in February For like $500 including the pencil. It's a fucking dream and worth every penny. Actually better than a cintique.
