It's more a question of what having your active hand in the left side of your vision does. The left half of the image from each eye is processed by the right hemisphere, but even that is a fuzzy dichotomy as most functions aren't localized and all it does iz show up as people with brain lesions not being able to see things in half their visual field yet still react to them.
