So I've been thinking about starting to post my art on twitter and/or newgrounds (mostly bondage/DiD stuff) but every time I actually sit down and try to do it I cockblock myself with thoughts like "I'm not good enough yet" or "my stuff isn't that interesting". I'd like to start posting my art b/c I want to have some pressure to draw more but I'm also worried that the pressure might feel paralyzing. Any advice on overcoming these feelings, or should I just practice more until I feel more satisfied w/ my art?

My old high school art teacher's habit of calling it that rubbed off on me.

The point is, anon needs to begin overhauling his/her fundamentals, starting with perspective. Head on to the artbooks section and download the beginner's books. Start with Perspective Made Easy and do all the exercises, then go through the rest. To mess up a basic frontal shot like this speaks volumes. Then afterwards, maybe anon will pull off the actual Dutch angle.

I'll admit I do have trouble making loose looking clothes. I actually didn't think the sweater ended up that bad so it kinda hurts to hear, but I agree I didn't put much effort in the skirt.

As for the wings, I kind of did want them to be a bit wild-looking, instead of uniform rows, if that makes sense. I wanted them to be disheveled, but it probably didn't come out the way I intended. Maybe when it comes to coloring I'll scrap the linework layer entire and kind of just make them blend into each other. I'm not sure yet.

i just don't know when it's better to keep a line or redo it, it's hard for me to know if an imperfection will look good in the end product so i've always just tried to make faultless lines. i'll try to loosen up. come to think of it sketching feels very free but as soon as i make a layer to start laying down lines my grip becomes tight and the surface of my tablet feels more slippery
