But I don't finish my pieces because I usually try to finish in 1 setting. And once it hits midnight I just say fuck it and go to bed. and then burn it the next morning when I wake up and wonder what the fuck is that.

Some beginners here seem to have this weird idea that if you don't finish a piece in one sitting then you're not allowed to work on it anymore or something.
I come from a programming background where literally nothing works on the first try, so it's normal to redo the same tiny piece of a project many times.
I think you guys would learn more if you put in the hours to actually take a single piece as far as you can to completion, rather than banging out hundreds of mediocre sketches that are all basically the same.
