Everytime someone ask about getting some quick cash out of art this is the advice but how do you actually do it?!?!

Not really into furry shit but I feel like this advice applies with regular commissions as well, you will need to be an active member of the community. You will need to be sociable and interact with your followers and be someone that they will be comfortable to hand their money over to. With the prevalence of social media it's probably not that easy to get commissions for furries anymore since furry artists are a dime a dozen now. Maybe it was easier over 10 years ago when the community was smaller and mostly on furaffinty and message boards. Now the competition is insane for all types of art.

I think if you're not really apart of the community I think you'll probably have a higher chance getting commissions from furries if one of your followers happens to be a furry, commissions you for furry art, RTs it, then gets the attention of all the furries who follows him.

I would hate to be apart of that community anyway except if I was into porn. I see the craziest shit in their bios when I look at their Twatter profiles. Even the people into loli/shota seem more stable

This

You need to talk to people, by that I mean commeting on their stuff, sharing their work, doing collabs and shit. I fucking hate talking to people but the same day I commented on just 3 main page things on Deviantart, I got more people visiting my profile than I ever had just posting my shit. Also good tactic for twitter fanarts is to tag the person/company whose fanart it is, there's big chance they'll retweet your piece and it will gain huge boost

The quickest way in my experience is to find a niche and produce a bunch of work focusing on it. I chose Pokemon. Only took a couple months before people started asking me for commissions, and I'm very mediocre. I recommend picking a niche you're genuinely interested in, as that will make it easier to produce appealing work.

Follow artists that are similar to you and try to engage with them. Post comments on their work, or maybe draw gift art of their fursona. Their fanbase will take notice and naturally start following you as well. The overlap between my clients and similar artists is huge due to the niche nature of our work.

A fursona is strongly recommended. It's your way of navigating the furry community and becoming a recognizable figure. Fans will start to draw your character which is really cool (and free advertising).

Another piece of advice that a lot of d/ic/ks seem to forget: Cute/sexy is key. 99% of furries aren't gonna give a shit about your anatomy or technical skill, the vast majority just want cute/sexy art of their characters.

Though I haven't tried it myself (yet), adoptables seem like a fucking goldmine. However I feel like you'll still need some sort of foot in the door in the furry community to really make good money off them.

Nah it's still easy as hell

It's almost like communities are self-filtering and most furry artists are furries themselves because they wouldn't be invested enough in the community to be successful.

It’s actually quite difficult. In order for you to upcharge you need to have a popular personality. Try catering to the furry tumblr crowd. Teenage/young women are less likely to lowball you compared to autists if you go the niche route.
