Is there any interest for an FZD Just Draw! challenge? Based on ep. 89 of Design Cinema, it'd be a study based challenge to help increase the visual library. So 3 weeks ( Jun 1 - Jun 22 ) of organic objects like rocks, tree roots, and skulls. A week per study topic of choice, 10-20 minutes per study, 30-minute submission minimum.

I think everyone would like improvements, though some clearly want them more. The difference is some people think bitching about Banana in the thread will make him make those improvements, while others are either focusing on the fact that the site performs its basic functions well enough, or are of the mindset that Banana isn't going to respond well to flagellation and should instead be given carrots to prod him along.

The vast majority of people, as shown in the strawpoll the other day, don't really give a fuck and will therefore not be posting in the thread at all on that topic. This means the only posts you will see are going to be from the people with the most "extreme" views of the matter.

And really this is kinda the way it was with Lava too... some people constantly shit on him while others defended him. As he showed up less and less and the site deteriorated further people began to shit on him more and more. And now he's probably dead.

I'm only a weekly poster but I've drawn way lot compared to pre2017 where I only draw every 4-5 months. That and I'm happy to fill up 2 sketchbooks since last year

I think it was more prevalent when I was scrambling between learning and using random bits and pieces of Ruby code, trying to understand how to deploy a production site and going "why the fuck did the nightly job break what the fuckkkkk" while on your ends you're waiting on the site to get deployed or something critical to not be broken. So when things got delayed, you felt it.

I'm actually pretty surprised DAD has held up relatively ok up till now (no serious crashes or actual extended downtimes, a performance crisis was resolved nicely). I'm far from satisfied though. We need a thorough facelift, improved functionality and a more intuitive interface overall.

The very top is from almost 3 years ago. The section of painted ones under that is from about a year and a half ago, when I was testing out painting media a bit more intensely. And then the bottom half of the image is from the last few months. That's the point where I (finally) moved beyond just drawing what I saw and instead began to study bird anatomy and try to better understand what I was seeing, so that I could draw it more effectively.

yes I have a rabbit! He's a house rabbit but he loves to run in the garden. He likes to try to play with the cat but the cat is too old and grumpy lol. I've had other bunnies in the past and they've all had such a personality. They're fantastic pets and cheap to maintain if that matters to you. If you're at all interested you should definitely at least consider it. A lot of people are often surprised to hear that they litter train really well too.
