It's the whole Dolby thing, even though Adobe won't say it publicly. Adobe is just covering their asses because they don't have the licence for Dolby tech anymore. Dolby isn't going to sue random users, they're going after Adobe for back rent on licensing fees.

It is a result of the Creative Cloud, but in a weird, IP-related, legalistic way. Still not happy with the way it's being handled though.

5 I tried running malwarebytes after the installation and it does tell you it suspects about the remaining "helper.exe" left in the temp folder, it calls it "generic.malware/suspicious". After resetting the pc though, that file dissapears on it's own just like temporary files stored on that folder generally do, so it could be a false positive.

6 The installer gave me 27 unwanted malware that infected, and took over Chrome. Seems like once cleaned with Malwarebytes all is good now.

7 This is definitely infected.
