I know this is not the proper board for gamedev, but since this board has progress threads, I want to show my own gamedev progress, maybe anyone would feel motivated by my own progress making games.
Not sure if anyone would care but I just want to share how much I've improved in a shit ton of skills.

yeah, I even have some stuff from 2005, is nice to record everything with a date so you can track your progress.

I regret deleting a shit ton of stuff I had before 2004 when I was like 10 years old.

I don't really think you can make excuses like that. You know you can do better but as long as you get the occasional compliment you wont try any harder.

Well, the problem is that games need several skills, so I could focus 100% on art and yet have no progress on 3D, music, story and code.

Getting into music too I see.

Being a solo developer isn't easy. It takes a huge, broad skillset but you should still focus on the most important aspects first.

Do you make your stuff with something like game maker or do you build games from the ground up with your own code?

Right now I'm not sure if start using something like SDL and just focus on C++, I'm starting to see is the only path for someone like me.
