I mean how did he ruin the face and hand so badly.. this artist is godlike.. I just don't get it sometimes it's like he lose all his talent in one pannel

he switched to digital years ago, what are you even saying

berserk always switched between good and ok-ish panels from time to time.

>> No.3916384

Miura's faces have always been kinda bad.

>> No.3916396

Between the four mangaka that we know who went to art school, Kentaro Miura (BERSERK) Hiroaki Samura (Blade of the Immortal), Q Hayashida (Dorohedoro) and Daisuke Igarashi (Children of the Sea).

I feel like Kentaro Miura didn't really made innovation in manga beyond tried and tested more details=good.

I legitimately believe he stopped giving a single fuck about Berserk and it reflects on his overall art quality unless he's drawing a chapter with lolis

Which artist out of the 4 would you say made an innovation?

tell that to the innocent mangaka
fool

>> No.3918405

quite a few of the panels in this came off as referencing those stiff 3D modeling apps for poses. especially the last one with the girl laying down and her floating looking (iirc) feet

Biggest problem is he has no lower jaw. It's like a straight plane going from the tip of his chin to the base of his neck. Cover that and it looks acceptable.

Drawing the underside of a chin is quite a bitch isn't it?

He could have just used another angle to give the same effect or feeling. He just to do the underchin didn't he?
When will this fucker stop messing around with his waifu in idolmaster and finish the fucking manga?

>> No.3921249

How did he drop this hard? Early-mid Berserk art was amazing.

>Berserk
>more details
it's the style and story that are convincing, most of berserk doesn't have that much detail, it's mostly textures.
Besides, I wonder where all those mangaka who roughly imitate ye old etchings while making a story during a fantasy middle age came from

>this artist is godlike
liking Miura's art is a litmus test for /beg/
I find his level really amateur, he just draws every single detail without really paying attention to values or line economy.
It's the pen and ink version of Sakimichan style rendering.

>> No.3921392

>>3921373
Agree to some extent, most people who fap over Miura seem to be young beginners who just caught up with the manga and are super hyped up. Miura has drawn a bunch of awesome stuff such as the God Hand spreads but his drawings often look wonky or the detailing is heavyhanded so it's hard to see what's going on.

Bad values ? The screen tones are amazing. He's truely pushed the manga medium forward. Remember, mangas are monochromatic. Get the paper version of tome 39, you'll love it.

What are the odds he's just paying someone else to draw it at this point?
