I have the same problem but with everything, not just drawing.

>> No.3889217

this is called procrastination.

here is redpill: you can do actual usefull stuff as a form of a procrastination from doing somehing else. Not many people realise that.

What to do: start doing what you afraid to do, you will be fine in 10-15 minutes.

Any examples of the usefull stuff you do? I thought of drawing boxes and stuff but I'm not exactly afraid of doing them

You think that art-related preparing counts as art (see: pirating books you don't read). That or it's burnout.

>>3889296
?
Turn off the computer, now, and draw the fucking box
>but I use the computer for art
Close the window, and draw the fucking box

Medically known, feel the same, but don't trust an offhand online diagnosis. Google it and ask a doc, solutions do exist.

He actually drew the box, the absolute madman.
Bumping thread because I realize this comment doesn't actually help beyond 1 day. It wasn't meant in ill will.
OP's probably gone but others have the problem too

no point bumping this thread. no advice can give people the willpower and persistence needed to sit down and work everyday. we are doomed from the beginning. all you can do is try to not develop new bad habits. but the old habits you have been practicing day in, day out are not going any where. you might suppress them for a while but not for long.

Stop being a defeatist, our psyches are such that simple words or a vivid image can have enough of an impact to completely alter our behavior and even bodies, see how a teacher's impressive countenance and words can make the student work themselves like mad and how misinformation can create mass hysteria that actually causes people to become ill. If you have bad habits they can still be changed, as can practically your whole personality

MRI studies say yes. Diminished function in decision making areas of the brain. Some people fail to start activities, usually because they don't know what to do and become overwhelmed. Manifests as laziness and procrastination. You see it a lot in people with childhood PTSD and ADHD.

> Been planning to go outside and draw there, since it it a sunny day and I'm fully motivated.
> Once I started to draw I noticed by Beginner /beg/ levels and got demotivated soon and went back in...

Thats why I don't think much of my plans of drawing, because I just destroy my expectations ._.
