kind of, the only reference i needed was a screenshot since the character is allready in the location with the right lighting, the one i posted further up i had to use a whole bunch of reference with different lighting n whatnot so im basicly filling it the blanks with imagination

OP, please keep the main light source in mind which in this case is the sun. Taking it from the palm tree in the background is coming somewhere above and maybe a bit behind. So all the shapes should obey the main light direction. Note: I left out retouching the palm tree because I took so long with the characters already.

I ask you please PLEASE get your knowledge of light and its behavior sorted out. In my opinion from these two images that is the most apparent thing that is holding you back. Once you get that you will take a huge leap ahead.

In case you haven't yet please watch Sycra's Foundation of Light and shadow vid series a watch and understand it It is fairly short for a series most episodes are like 15 minutes only.

the poses dont look natural, try posing like that and see how it feels in your back, practice more gesture before going into full rendering, also you could use colors closer to reallity and as a last step apply a filter,also check info on photography expousure and how the subject and the background relate in a composition.

the reference shows (1) longer legs, (2) a more pronounced curve on the torso,(3) the arm really providing balance, 4 and the shoulders in a more logical position,(4), a good use of reference helps with the sense of weight, balance and form

allright tweaked a few things and i think its looking a lot better allready. tried to keep colours more saturated in the light like someone said but i think thats making it look a little flat with the background
