drawing is just the medium of expression, not the end in and of itself, it's just like language or rather writing
you become writer because you enjoy storytelling, writing is just a way of automation so you don't have to spend your whole life reciting your stories or poems
drawing is a tool for architects or designers to communicate their designs or for illustration purposes
though there is such a thing as "fine art" it's not really something I want to do and I don't really believe in "art for art's sake"

yea but it generally tends to help so long as you are self critical to at least some degree. unless you're an absolute troglodyte you're gonna see patterns of errors in your stuff at some point, i think. so it's fair to point out just drawing a lot wont make you gud by itself, but generally, it's not a bad idea
